The hotel has a fantastic location next to Edinburgh Zoo, and guests are entitled to half-price entry after 2 pm, which makes for an exciting visit for the kids. The staff were exceptionally lovely, friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast the hotel offers is plentiful and delicious, providing a great start to the day. The restaurant and bar area has a great view of the outskirts of Edinburgh, with hills visible in the distance, adding to a relaxing breakfast experience. The hotel is very family-friendly and goes out of its way to accommodate little ones. Although we only had dinner at the hotel once, the food was excellent, and the 'Kids eat free' offer was a nice bonus.

Hotel is an in good location a few miles away from the city centre, located next to the zoo, it offered us a good price that offest the distance to the city centre. We opted for Uber for the duration of the break however, there are plenty of bus routes that stop right outside the hotel as they all service the zoo. The rooms are very standard as you would expect but the bed was big enough for two with comfortable pillows. We dined in the hotel twice during our stay and the food was great with no complaints. The bar staff were all excellent and attentive. We also used the pool/sauna during the stay and enjoyed it very much.

I stayed with my sister as she was flying early from Edinburgh Airport. The hotel has a bus stop right in front that goes to the airport and the city center in minutes. The location is excellent and being close to the Zoo is a nice bonus. It seems like the hotel has been going through some refurbishments as the lobby and bar looked excellent. The room was comfortable but I think we got one of the older ones so a little bit dated. It had hovewer had all we needed and we were really happy. It was great for a short stay. Parking is a bit tight but there were enough places right next to the entrance. Plus it is free!

The property was as good as any Holiday Inn property. Room was spacious, clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. While the location is not central, the bus stop is just out of the hotel, with sufficient frequency to the central city. Weekend seemed busy as the hotel is next to Edinburgh Zoo. Breakfast was good and if discounted if pre-booked. The property has swimming pool, sauna, a small library with decent collection of books, snooker and foosball to keep you engaged on a rainy day.

I’m a zoo member, so the location was perfect for me. I had requested a room with a view of the zoo and got it. I could hear Jay the lion roar at night. :) Small but lovely room, with a very comfy bed, a wingback chair for reading (I’m a bookworm!), a desk and table and lots of storage space in the bed- as well as the bathroom. I’m very fussy when it comes to cleanliness, but the room was spotless on arrival.
